I was a survivor of a massacre.

Jesús Tecú Osorio was 11 years old when his mother and brothers were massacred by the Guatemalan army along with 177 other women and children in March 1982. Their fate, however, was different.

Pedro González , one of the PACs (Civil Self-Defense Patrolmen, paramilitary groups trained by the army) accompanying the military, took him away to live with him and his wife as a slave. Jesus had survived a journey of blood and horror that would mark a life destined to seek justice and recover the memory of those who lost their lives in the Rio Negro Massacre.
