THE GALICIAN CRIME NOVEL

- SIPNOPSIS
At Cape Fisterra, where the Camino de Santiago ends and the Atlantic crashes against the cliffs, two pilgrims discover the body of a woman: Sofía Serrano, an employee at the pilgrims’ office in Santiago de Compostela. Chief Inspector David Acosta, recently transferred from urban Valencia to rugged Galicia, takes charge of his first case at the remote police station. This workaholic hopes to use his transfer as an opportunity to stay in touch with his ex-wife Paola and his 15-year-old daughter. A lead takes David and his team—the experienced Inspector Adrián Martinz, who reluctantly follows his superior’s orders, and the confident Inspector Mercédes Navarro—to the enigmatic pilgrim Carmelo. Carmelo turns out to be a criminal with a seductive side. When he escapes from the police, the team finds itself in crisis. While David—accustomed to success—is under pressure, he is unaware that he will soon receive some bad personal news. Despite the mounting tension, the police trio uncovers a deadly web of love, jealousy, and blackmail.
