The production companies Alcalá Producciones and Atlantia Media have reached an agreement to create Atlantia Media International, a new area that will be led by international producer José María González-Sinde.

This new business area will be dedicated to offering production services for international productions and co-productions with foreign countries.

Alcalá Producciones is the production company of José María González-Sinde, who has a long professional career in numerous national and international productions such as 007 Die Another Day, Sahara, Game of Thrones, Soulmates and Little Birds. In addition, González-Sinde has worked with such prestigious directors as Luis García Berlanga, Carlos Saura, Alex de la Iglesia, Daniel Calparsoro and José Luis García Sánchez, among others. “I face this new challenge together with Atlantia Media with the aim of attracting international production companies to shoot in Spain and thus offer all the possibilities available in our country,” explained José María González-Sinde.

For its part, Atlantia Media was incorporated in 2017 by Jorge Sánchez Gallo, creator of fiction titles such as ‘Un Burka por amor’ or programs such as ‘Españoles por el mundo’. Throughout his career, Sánchez-Gallo has received several awards such as a Goya, a Berlin Film Festival Award and several Academy Awards, New York Festival, Leo Awards or Gemini Award. Recently, the production company received the Grand Prize for Best Branded Content of the year, Best Strategy and Best Use of Media from the BCMA Spain association, thanks to Discovering Canary Islands, presented by Pilar Rubio, which has already been seen by more than 81 million people in 42 countries in Europe through Rakuten.

According to Jorge Sánchez-Gallo, for Atlantia Media “it is great news to have González-Sinde as CEO of this new division that will promote new international projects, thus completing the production company’s offer”.
