Elena Rivera has been awarded for her versatility when facing diverse characters in a year in which she has headed three fiction titles (‘Alba’, ‘Los herederos de la tierra’ and ‘Sequía’). In this sweet moment of his career, the jury wanted to value the constancy and solvency of his trajectory.
“Sequía” was born from the need to tell a cross-border story. The plot begins in the Campomediano reservoir, in Extremadura, near the border with Portugal, which is now practically dry. In the town that was under water and has emerged practically in its entirety, two corpses appear and the investigation is entrusted to Daniela Yanes, an inspector recently arrived in Cáceres.
The two public broadcasters, RTVE and RTP, together with two production companies, Atlantia Media and Coral Europa, have joined forces to achieve this magnificent result. A production shot entirely in natural settings in the Community of Madrid, Extremadura and Lisbon. A true pleasure for the senses.
